The Marion County R-II girls basketball team resumed their winning ways with road victories over Atlanta and Mark Twain last week.
The Lady Mustangs (15-3) shot out to a 16-2 lead in their 55-31 win at Mark Twain, Friday.
Delaney Straus sank nine two-point field goals en route to a game-high 20 points.
Also scoring were Olivia Wood, 10, Halle Keilholz, eight, Tristen Holt, six, Madison Stewart, six, Riley Donath, three, and Grace Jensen-Page, two.
The Lady Mustangs held on for a 50-44 win at Atlanta, Tuesday.
They got out to a strong start, going up 19-9 and leading 31-21 at the half.
But Atlanta charged back, and the Lady Mustangs were up by just one going into the final quarter when they out-scored Atlanta, 11-6.
Scoring for Marion County were Stewart, 13, Donath, 11, Straus, 11, Keilholz, eight, Holt, six, and Wood, one.
This week, Marion County hosts Scotland County, Monday and Paris, Tuesday, before traveling to Silex, Saturday.
