The PHS varsity baseball team suffered a 15-0, four inning blasting by Quincy Notre Dame on the home field, Tuesday.

Palmyra’s Adam Goodwin delivers a pitch during home action against QND last Tuesday.
The undefeated Raiders scored two runs in the second, before blowing the game open with 11 in the third and two more in the fourth to make for a shortened game.

Palmyra’s Landyn Smith goes high to catch a throw from the catcher on a QND steal attempt.
Palmyra managed just three hits, all singles, including two by Adam Goodwin and one by Alex Loman.
QND banged out 12 hits and also took advantage of two Panther errors for five unearned runs.
Goodwin started and was relieved by Landyn Smith and Ethan Tallman.
The Panthers (0-4) have yet to hold an opposing team to less than 10 runs.
The Panthers were also supposed to host Quincy High School Thursday, but the game was postponed due to the weather.
This week, the Panthers are scheduled to travel to Bowling Green, Monday, and Macon, Tuesday, before playing in the Moberly Cluster Saturday.
