After being weathered out to start the season the PHS boys golf team competed for the first time last Tuesday, getting runner-up honors during a tri-meet at Hannibal’s Norwood’s Golf Course.
The Panthers shot a 404 to finish behind Centralia, 372, but ahead of Monroe City, 421.
Laydin Lochman led the Panthers with an 18-hole 89, to finish just one stroke behind the overall co-winners, Kayle Hays, of Monroe City, and Austin Mechlin, of Centralia.
Also scoring for Palmyra were Jonas Janes, 100, Dreighton Sprinkle, 105, Brett Tuter, 110, and Preston Fugat, 119.
