The PHS boys track and field team finished sixth out of 11 teams at the Clark County Invitational last Tuesday.

The Panthers scored 40 points to finish behind Monroe City (113), Kirksville (82), Highland (76), Green City (60, and South Shelby (58.5), but ahead of Scotland County (36), Clark County (32), Brookfield (23), Keokuk (5.5) and Marion County (1).
Scoring for Palmyra were:
Hayes Miller, first place in the 400 meters at 52.04 and third place in the 100 meters at 11.57;
Caleb Juette, third place in the 1,600 meters at 5:09.01;
Evan Pennewell, tied for third place in the pole vault at 2.75 meters;
the third place 4 x 800 meter relay team of Conner Bross, Juette, Lathyn Sutter and Dakota Snyder at 9:33.79;
Ryan McKeown, fifth place in the 110 meter hurdles at 19.53; ninth place in the long jump at 5.29 meters; and 10th place in the triple jump at 10.79 meters;
Gideon Bogue, fifth place in the 200 meters at 24.58; and seventh place in the 100 meters at 12.16;
Landen Gottman, fifth place in the high jump at 1.62 meters;
Jayden Sharrow, tied for fifth place in the pole vault at 2.45 meters; and 10th place in the javelin at 33.39 meters;
Christian Johnson, seventh place in the triple jump at 11.12 meters;
Noah Getz, seventh place in the discus at 32.48 meters;
Marty Smyser, seventh place in the 400 meters at 58.69;
the seventh place 4 x 200 meter relay team of Smyser, Evan Pennewell, Parker Bier and Gottman at 1:47.80;
Brayden Roeder, eighth place in the 110 meter hurdles at 21.00;
Daniel Dames, ninth place in the 200 meters at 26.01;
Snyder, ninth place in the 800 meters at 2:29.04; and
the ninth place 4 x 100 meter relay team of Getz, Johnson, McKeown and Dames at 49.35.
