The PHS girls track and field team was victorious at the Clark County Invitational last Tuesday.

Palmyra’s Jeorgia O’Brien competes in the 1,600 meters at Kahoka last Tuesday.
The Lady Panthers scored 114 points to beat out 10 other teams including Clark County (102), Monroe City (60), South Shelby (56), Highland (51), Marion County (30), Kirksville (30), Green City (29), Brookfield (28), Scotland County (21) and Keokuk (6).
Scoring for Palmyra were:
Sydney Compton, first place in the 400 meters at 1:05.81 and first place in the 100 meter hurdles at 17.50;
the first place 4 x 100 meter relay team of Abbey Redd, Mallory Sublette, Bella McBride and Jansen Juette at 53.92;
the first place 4 x 200 meter relay team of Redd, Tenslee Voss, Alaina Loman and Taytum White at 1:54.93;
Juette, second place in the triple jump at 10:05 meters; fourth place in the 100 meters at 13.55; and fifth place in the long jump at 4.64 meters;
Redd, second place in the pole vault at 2.90 meters;
the second place 4 x 800 meter relay team of Jeorgia O’Brien, Aly Noland, Mallory Sublette and Laurin Sheputis at 10:50.67;
Loman, third place in the pole vault at 2.90 meters and fourth place in the 400 meters at 1:08.25;
Sheputis, third place in the 800 meters at 2:40.39;
Chloe Hicks, tied for third in the high jump at 1.41 meters;
White, fourth place in the 200 meters at 28.16;
Jaynee Durst, fourth place in the javelin at 28.04 meters;
Sublette, fourth place in the triple jump at 9.57 meters;
Voss, fourth place in the 300 meter hurdles at 53.28;
O’Brien, fourth place in the 1,600 meters at 6:12.88;
the fourth place 4 x 100 meter throwers relay team of Jaynee Durst, Lakeyn Smith, Hailey Kroeger and Brayden Madden at 58.47;
Noland, fifth place in the 1,600 meters at 6:19.39;
McBride, sixth place in the 100 meters at 13.97;
Emma Krigbaum, ninth place in the 300 meter hurdles at 56.31; and
Hailey Kroeger, ninth place in the javelin at 25.30 meters.
