R-II track teams compete at Highland

The Marion County R-II girls and boys track and field teams also competed at the Jerry Ball Relays at Highland High School last Tuesday.
The girls finished seventh out of 14 teams while the boys finished ninth.
Lady Mustangs placing in the top eight were:
Delaney Straus, first place in the triple jump at 33 feet, 10.75 inches; first place in the 800 meters at 2:33.16; third place in the 1,600 meters at 5:59.52; and fourth place in the 400 meters at 1:06.82; and
Halle Keilholz, sixth place in the javelin at 105 feet, 1.5 inches; seventh place in the 100 meter hurdles at 18.57.
Mustangs finishing in the top eight were:
Levi Wright, third place in the 3,200 meters at 11:20.56 and seventh place in the 1,600 meters at 5:19.00;
the fifth place 4 x 800 meter relay team of Wright, Mason Wood, Porter Britt and Rheo Schluckebier at 9:50.60;
Caden Stotts sixth place in the 110 meter hurdles at 20.40 and sixth place in the 300 meter hurdles at 47.78; and
the eighth place 4 x 400 meter relay team of Britt, Root Cheney, Nick Kelso and Joey Lagemann at 4:07.65.
