The Marion County R-II baseball team rallied late for a 12-10 victory at home over Community last Monday.

Down 10-6 going into the bottom of the fifth, the Mustangs scored three in the bottom of the fifth and three in the sixth, before shutting out the opposition in the top of the seventh to win.
Two hit batsmen, Root Cheney and Mason Wood and singles by Caden Stotts and Nick Kelso aided the fifth inning rally.
Sixth inning leadoff walks to Jackson Stewart and Cooper Stotts set the table for Cheney who blasted a three-run home run to center.
Cooper Stotts started on the mound and went four innings, giving up nine runs, only four of which were earned, on six hits and seven walks while striking out eight.
Spencer Whetstone pitched the final three innings, giving up just one earned run on two hits and a walk while striking out five.
This week, the Mustangs were scheduled to host Louisiana, Monday, and travel to Novinger Friday.
