The Marion County R-II baseball team will compete as the sixth seed in the Class 1, District 13 Tournament hosted by North Shelby May 13-17.
The Mustangs (6-5) will take on third-seeded Knox County at 8 p.m. Friday, May 13, in the quarterfinals.
The winner will advance to the semifinals at 6:45 p.m. Monday, May 16, and play the winner of Friday’s quarterfinal between second-seeded LaPlata (12-3) and seventh-seeded Bevier (3-8).
The winner of the other quarterfinal game Friday between fourth-seeded North Shelby (8-3) and fifth-seeded Brasher (8-3) will advance to the semifinals and play top-seeded Atlanta (8-0), which received a first-round bye.
The championship game is set for 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 17.
