Girls golf team wins Mexico quad event

The PHS varsity girls golf team took first place at a quad hosted by Mexico Thursday.
The Lady Panthers carded a 221 to beat out the host team, Southern Boone and Harrisburg.
Palmyra’s Ella Goldinger took medalist honors with a 48
Also scoring were Ava Weiman, 55, Haylie Begley, 59, Candra King, 59, and Kaylee Warning, 63.
The Lady Panthers also took second at a quad at Kirksville last Tuesday.
Palmyra shot a 216 to finish behind only Kirksville, 193, but ahead of Moberly, 236. Battle did not field a complete team.
Scoring for Palmyra were Goldinger, 47, Weiman, 53, Warning, 57, King, 59, and Begley, 60.
