The PHS girls golf team finished sixth at the Class 2, District 2 tournament at the Heritage Hills Golf Course in Moberly last Monday.

Ella Goldinger (left) and Ava Weiman were competing Monday and Tuesday in the Class 2 MSHSAA Golf Tournament in Bolivar.
Palmyra carded a 424 to finish behind Osage, 354, Kirksville, 370, Eldon, 378, California, 410, and Hallsville, 410, but ahead of Centralia, 433, Fulton, 443, Southern Boone, 443, Macon, 447, Moberly, 466, Blair Oaks, 470, Versailes, 490 and Mexico, 557.
Ella Goldinger led Palmyra with a 96, good enough for 11th place overall out of 67 golfers. Joining her in qualifying for state was Ava Weiman, 102, 17th.
Also competing for Palmyra were: Candra King, 109, 33rd; Mallory Sublette, 117, 43rd; and Kaylee Warning, 132, 59th.
Goldinger and Weiman were competing in the Class 2 state tournament at the Silo Ridge Golf Course in Bolivar Monday and Tuesday. Results were not available for this issue.
Osage’s Sophia Ann Rivera-Sindlinger and Hanna Marie Maschoff finished 1-2 on the leader board with a 74 and 75 respectively.
