PHS XC team competes at Bowling Green meet

The PHS boys and girls cross country teams competed at the Bowling Green Invitational Saturday leading up to this Saturday’s district meet.
The boys team placed 16th out of 21 teams.
Competing for Palmyra were: Jacob Barnes, 64th place out of 196 runners, in a time of 19:33.62; Connor Bross, 75th, 19:54.72; Carter Harper, 103rd, 20:47.65; Daniel Reed, 153rd, 22:49.09 Owen Mason Kiefaber, 162nd, 23:18.97; Wesley Summers, 166th, 23:56.36; and Ashton Lovegreen, 177th, 24:33.75.
Alyssa Noland led the girls with a 33rd place finish out of 158 runners in a time of 23:12.12.
Also competing were Tiffany Neff, 127th, 28:31.52 and Lillian Cramlett, 139th, 30:32.62.
Palmyra athletes will compete in the Class 3, District 3 meet at Fulton Saturdaly along with Blair Oaks, Bowling Green, Centralia, Father Tolton Regional Catholic, Fatima, Fulton, Hallsville, John Burroughs, Macon, MICDS, Montgomery County, Normandy Collaborative, North Callaway, Orchard Farm, Owensville, Priory, Southern Boone, St. Charles West, STEAM Academy, Winfield and Wright City.
The Class 3 state meet will be held Nov. 5 at the Gans Creek Cross Country Course in Columbia.
