The Marion County R-II boys basketball team earned its first victories of the season at home over Community and Bevier last week.
The Mustangs (2-2) capped the successful week with a resounding 68-27 victory over Bevier, Thursday.
Leading by just seven points at the half, the Mustangs (2-2) put the game in hand by out-scoring Bevier 42-8 the rest of the way.
Joey Lagemann sank two three pointers and six field goals overall in leading the team with 16 points.
The Mustangs opened the week with a 63-42 win over Community.
The Mustangs are competing in the Monroe City Tournament this week. They were to open play Tuesday against Monroe City.
