Palmyra’s Bear Bock was named the Class 3, District 6 Player of the Year, as voted on by the coaches and was joined on the all-district team by Carson Hicks.

The Panthers were upset in the district title game by South Shelby, but Bock received the top honor for his performance during the tournament.
The junior scored 26 points in the two district games including 14 of his team’s points in the 39-22 title game loss.
For the season, Bock led the Panthers with 13 points per game, nine rebounds per game and five assists per game averages.
Hicks, a junior, averaged 11 points, five rebounds and one assist per game.
Hicks led the Panthers with 16 points in the team’s 52-30 semifinal win over Monroe City.

Kent O’Laughlin was named coach of the year after leading South Shelby to the district title.
