R-II track teams compete at Highland

The Marion County R-II boys and girls track and field teams competed with 11 other teams at the Jerry Ball Relays hosted by Highland last Tuesday.
Boys placing in the top 10 were:
Levi Wright, third place in the 1600 meters at 4:59.80 and third place in the 3200 meters at 11:00.37;
the fourth place 4 x 800 meter relay team at 9:19.45;
the fifth place 4 x 400 meter relay team at 3:59.32;
Caden Stotts, sixth place in the 110 meter hurdles at 19.26 and seventh place in the 300 meter hurdles at 47.82;
Wyatt Tuley, sixth place in the 800 meters at 2:14.46;
Nick Kelso, eighth place in the shot put at 10.97 meters;
Porter Britt, ninth place in the 1600 meters at 5:23.65 and ninth place in the 3200 meters at 11:10.80; and
Shawn Martin, ninth place in the 400 meters at 58.27.
Girls place in the top 10 were:
Samantha Kindhart, third place in the shot put at 9.56 meters and fourth place in the discus at 27.26 meters;
Kennedy Hathaway, sixth place in the 100 meter hurdles at 19.71 and ninth place in the triple jump at 7.77 meters;
the seventh place 4 x 100 meter relay team at 1:00.75; and
Shayleigh Whetstone, 10th place in the shot put at 8.34 meters and 10th place in the discus at 23.28 meters.
Also competing were teams from Canton, Scotland County, Clark County, Highland, Mark Twain, Owensville and Hannibal from Missouri, and Camp Point (Central), Liberty and Mendon-Unity, from Illinois.
