The PHS boys track and field team capped the regular season with a fourth place finish in the Clarence Cannon Conference meet in Macon last Monday.

The Panthers scored 97 points to finish behind Centralia, 175, Clark County, 141, and South Shelby, 112, but ahead of Macon, 79, Monroe City, 60, Highland, 48, and Brookfield, 19.

Scoring points for Palmyra were:

Carson Hicks, first place in the high jump at 1.82 meters;

Gideon Bogue, second place in the 100 meters at 11.31 and second place in the 200 meters at 22.98;

Luke Sheppard, second place in the 110 meter hurdles at 16.76; third place in the high jump at 1.67 meters; third place in the triple jump at 11.42 meters; and fourth place in the 300 meter hurdles at 45.94;

Evan Pennewell, second place in the pole vault at 3.95 meters;

Carter Harper, third place in the 300 meter hurdles at 45.08;

Daniel Dames, fourth place in the 400 meters at 55.46;

the fourth place 4 x 400 meter relay team of Dames, Harper, Ethan Redd and Bogue at 3:42.54;

the fourth place 4 x 800 meter relay team of Connor Bross, Daniel Reid, Landon Jurado and Ashton Lovegreen at 10:00.39;

Jose Juarez, fifth place in shot put at 12.48 meters;

Connor Bross, sixth place in the 3200 meters at 11:49.80;

Gage Barnett, sixth place in the shot put at 12.19 meters;

the sixth place 4 x 100 meter relay team of Parker Bier, Hicks, Redd and Bogue at 49.90;

the sixth place 4 x 200 meter relay team of Dames, Redd, Harper and Hicks at 1:39.48; and

Tanner Strubinger, eighth place in the discus at 27.289 meters.

The Panthers will compete in the Class 3, District 4 meet at North Point High School in Wentzville this Saturday along with Boonville, Bowling Green, California, Centralia, Clark County, Father Tolton Regional Catholic, Hallsville, Macon, Montgomery County, North Callaway and Southern Boone.
