No Marion County athletes qualified for the state meet during sectionals Saturday at Shelbina.

However, some of them came close and scored district team points.

Participating from Marion County were:

Levi Wright, fifth place in the 3200 meters at 11:39.19 and seventh place in the 1600 meters at 5:03.11;

Caden Stotts, fifth place in the 300 meter hurdles at 44.93 and seventh place in the 110 meter hurdles at 18:07;

the fifth-place 4 x 800 meter relay team of Porter Britt, Reo Schluckebier, Wyatt Tuley and Mason Wood at 9:04.03; and

Samantha Kindhard, eighth place in the discus at 26.89 meters.

Only those placing fourth or better qualified for state.
