The Marion County R-II boys cross country team opened the season by competing in the Palmyra Invitational meet Saturday in Flower City Park.
Junior Levi Wright led the Mustangs with a seventh place finish at 19:08.92 and was followed by Porter Britt, a junior, 14th, at 20:07.97.

Also competing were: Rheo Schluckebier, 22nd, 21:00.74; Nathan Wright, 50th, 25:47.63; and Nick Kelso, 57th, 27:34.37.
The Mustangs finished seventh as a team with South Shelby taking first place.
