The PHS boys cross country team took 17th place out of 35 in their division at the Gans Creek Classic meet in Columbia Saturday.
Jacob Barnes led the team with a 41st place finish out of 265 runners with a time of 18:45.55.
Also running were: Carter Harper, 50th place, 19:04.87; Wesley Summers, 86th place, 19:57.79; Landon Jurado, 181st place, 21:53.53; Ashton Lovegreen, 189th place, 22:27.40; and Walter Poor, 26:23.41.
Dexter’s Cameron Bell won the meet in a time of 16:30.79, and led his team to a first-place finish.
In girls competition, Palmyra’s Lillian Cramlett finished 138th out of 181 runners in a time of 28:00.75, and Brooklynn Platt fnished 141st in a time of 28:04.77.
