PHS boys XC team runs at Bowling Green event

The PHS boys cross country team placed 18th out of 22 teams at the Bowling Green Invitational meet Friday.
Carter Harper led the Panthers with a 52nd place finish out of 167 runners in a time of 19:05.82.
He was followed by: Jacob Barnes, 62nd place, 19:25.29; Wesley Summers, 75th place, 19:53.16; Ashton Lovegreen, 142nd place, 22:45.81; Landon Jurado, 149th place, 23:09.91; Walter Poor, 23:46.55, and Aiden Lynn, 159th place, 24:13.02.
Bowling Green’s Ben Chancer took top honors in a a time of 16:04.97.
Father Tolton Regional Catholic won the team competition ahead of Centralia.
In girls competition, Palmyra’s Lillian Cramlett finished in 101st place out of 118 runners in a time of 28:20.37; and Brooklynn Platt placed 111th in a time of 29:45.98.
Elyse Wilmes led Father Tolton to a team victory by placing first in a time of 18:13.83.
Palmyra will compete this Saturday in the Class 3, District 3 meet hosted by South Callaway in Mokane.
Also competing are Blair Oaks, Bowling Green, California, Centralia, Cuba, Eldon, Fatima, Hallsville, Montgomery County, North Callaway, Orchard Farm, Owensville, Priory, Southern Boone, St. Charles West, St. Clair, St. Francis Borgia, St. James, Westminster, Whitfield, Winfield and Wright City.
