The PHS boys and girls wrestling teams competed in the Wentzville Liberty Invitational Tournament Saturday.
Five Panthers placed in the tournament including: Luke Lawson (113), second place; Tyler Spicknall (132), third place; Brayden Pillars (157), fourth place; Ace Harper (190), sixth; and Talon Markley (165), 14th place.

Lawson won his first four matches, all by fall, to advance to the title match, which he lost by fall at 1:28 to Francis Howell Central’s Chase Gray.
Spicknall won his first three matches to reach the semifinals where he lost by technical fall to Sullivan’s Conner Roach.
He then won the third-place match in a 6-5 decision over Warrenton’s Joshua Kassing.
Pillars won is first three matches, all by fall to reach the semifinals where he lost a 9-5 decision to Holt’s Boston Howard.
He then lost the third-place match by fall at 2:10 to Fort Madison’s Nolan Riddle.
Harper won his first two matches by fall before losing his third-round match by fall at 2:11 to Francis Howell Central’s Hayden DeVilder.
He then won his consolation bracket match by a 11-7 decision over Festus’ Owen Gardner, before losing the fifth-place match by fall at 0:50 to Oak Park’s Cayden Redmond.
Markley lost his first two matches before winning his consolation second-round match by fall at 4:29 over Oak Park’s Cameron Broeker.
In girls action, four Lady Panthers placed, including Elly Lorenson, who won first place at 170 pounds and, in the process, knocked off the 14th ranked girls wrestler in the nation.

Janie Triplett (135) placed third and Kyndal Wilt (130) and Summer Gollaher (140), fourth place.
Lorenson won her first three matches by fall to reach the semifinals where she took on August Rottmann, the 14th ranked girls wrestler in the nation from Highland, Ill., and won by a 5-2 decision.
She then won her title match by fall at 2:29 over Fulton’s Carly Foster.
Triplett won her first three matches, all by fall, to reach the semifinals where she lost by a 13-1 decision to Festus’ Trinity Butler.
She then won the third-place match by fall at 1:58 over St. Charles West’s Danielle Lovell.
Wilt won her first three matches, all by fall, to reach the semifinals where she lost by a 2-1 decision to Fulton’s Rilee Swaim.
She then lost her third place match by fall at 0:35 to Pattonville’s Natalie Henning.
Gollaher won her first round match by fall, lost her second round match by fall and won her third-round match by fall.
She then lost her semifinal match by fall at 5:10 to Wright City’s Lauren Ritter and her third-place match by fall at 0:47 to Liberty’s Maddy Kuhn.
