Palmyra wrestlers compete at Mexico Quad

The PHS boys and girls wrestling teams competed at a Mexico quad meet Friday.

In boys action the Panthers lost all three matches against Mexico, Brookfield and Kirksville.

Palmyra wrestlers went 1-2 in actual matches in a 42-30 loss to Brookfield.

Nolan Richards won his match in the 195-pound class by fall at 4:49 over Braxsten Duncan.

Palmyra went 1-4 in actual matches in a 57-18 loss to Kirksville.

Winning his match was Collin Arch in the 132-pound class by fall at 1:31 over Lane Patterson.

Palmyra won four of five actual matches in their 42-36 loss to Mexico.

Winning matches were:

Kaden Crane (106) by fall at 1:02 over Keegan Koons;

Arch (132) by fall at 1:14 over Gavyn Martin;

Jayden Sharrow (170) by fall at 1:54 over Morgan Grubb; and

Richards (195) by fall at 2:51 over Caleb Prater.

The girls went 2-1, beating Brookfield and Kirksville, while losing to Mexico.

Palmyra went 1-1 in actual matches in a 24-6 win over Kirksville.

Dyoni Mundy won by fall at 2:00 over Lauryn Nelson. She also won by fall at 0:17 over Abbigale Drew in the lone match of a 30-18 loss to Mexico.

Palmyra went 0-1 in actual matches in its 24-18 win over Brookfield.
