Once again, the Lady Panthers start their season in Troy with the 16th annual People’s Bank & Trust Lead-off Classic Aug. 26 and 27.

Palmyra opens play in the 16-team event at 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 26, against Winfield. The winner will play again Friday, while the losers will move into Saturday’s losers’ bracket.

Also competing in the tournament are Troy, Liberty, Columbia Hickman, Macon, St. Dominic, Hannibal, Bowling Green, Fort Zumwalt South, Fulton, North Point, Timberland, Columbia Battle, Highland and Francis Howell Central.
