Competing at the Class 1, District 3 meet in Fulton, the Mustangs scored 77 points to finished eight behind first place and seven ahead of Stoutland, and will now advance to the Class 1 state meet to be held at the Gans Creek Cross Country Course in Columbia this Saturday.
Levi Wright led the team with a sixth-place finish in a time of 19:06.75.
Also competing for Marion County were: Porter Britt, 13th place, 19:30.40; Wyatt Tuley, 28th, 20:06.88; Jackson Stewart, 30th, 20:17.00; Mason Wood, 39th, 21:00.77; Shawn Martin, 43rd, 21:29.19; and Joey Lagemann, 66th, 23:37.32.
