The PHS varsity football team went to 0-2 on the season with a 44-8 loss at home to Bowling Green Friday on the home field.
The Bulldogs went to 2-0 and are now in second place in the Class 2, District 7 standings with 48 points.
Palmyra is tied with Mark Twain for last in the district with 17 points.
Palmyra will remain at home again this Friday to host Centralia, which is now 2-0 in Class 3 after downing Hallsville, 65-36, Friday.
