Mustangs placed 17th at Bowling Green XC meet

The Marion County R-II boys cross country team took 17th place out of 22 teams at the Bowling Green Invitational meet, Friday.
Levi Wright led the Mustangs with a 36th place finish out of 167 runners in a time of 18:27.83.
He was followed by: Porter Britt, 60th place, 19:22.27; Rheo Schluckebier, 76th place, 19:53.44; Nick Kelso, 145th place, 22:51.32; and James Walker, 166th place, 28:36.32.
The Mustangs also competed along with nine other teams at the Mexico Autumn Classic last Tuesday.
Levi Wright finished 28th out of 72 runners in a time of 19:10.03 and was followed by Britt, 44th place, 19:47.27; Schluckebier, 56th place, 20:34.14; Keslso, 68th place, 24:01.72; Nathan Wright, 71st place, 26:25.17; and Walker, 72nd place, 29:08.57.
The Mustangs will compete in the Class 1, District 3 meet hosted by South Callaway at Mokane this Saturday along with Brashear, Brunswick, Chamois, Clopton, Columbia Independent, Community, Glasgow, Green Ridge, Higbee, Jamestown, Knox County, Missouri School for the Deaf, New Franklin, New Haven, Northeast, Northwest, Otterville, Paris, Prairie Home, Sacred Heart, Salisbur, Schuyler County, Silex, Vienna, Wellsville-Middletown and Westran.
